For our good - Romans 8:28.

Peaceful photo of flowers on a bible

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

We can have peace knowing God is working all things

For our good

God, you are full of grace. Our hearts rejoice at your goodness, let your glory be shown to all.

Through your son Christ's death on the cross, we are made part of your family. As we are united in Christ, we can be called your children and have you, God, as our father!

Therefore, though our feeble efforts to love you fall far short of the love you require, we can be confident we are your beloved children because of what you have done at the cross.

Through Christ and Christ alone, we can confidently say we are part of your family and we are those who love you.

And oh gracious God, you are so good to those who love you.

You shape all of reality for our good.

We can look back and be at peace with the sorrows of our life knowing they were for our good.

We can look forward and be at peace knowing any trials we may face will be for our good.

We can endure the struggles and suffering of our current life and passionate seek to delight in God in peace as we know God is giving our struggles to us for our good.

The God who knows us more than we know ourselves and is the creator of all things that bring pleasure, joy, and satisfaction, He is the one working all things for our good.

So we can be confident the 'good' He is blessing us with is far better than any good we could ever hope to find.

We can trust God with our lives, rejoice in whatever circumstances we face, and be at peace because God really is working all things,

for our good.

Amen

P.S. - To all those reading this, don't give up. In Christ, we have the hope of perfect peace to come in the new creation where there will be no more crying, mourning, or pain. God cares for you.

Love and prayers,

Joshua
