Suffering and future Glory - 1 Peter 1:6-7.

'In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.'

1 Peter 1:6-7

Suffering need not hinder our peace.

Our suffering can help our faith to lead to

Praise, glory and honour when Christ returns.

Father God, you are good and all your ways our perfect. Your promises are glorious, you are our delight.

Help us gracious Father when we are weak. When we are facing trials, when continuing on seems overwhelming. Fill us with the peace that is found in only you.

Help us merciful Lord to remember that you do not cause us to suffer without reason.

Help us loving father to trust you.

Help us to rejoice in the strengthening of our faith as it will result in praise glory and honour when Christ returns.
