Reflections on peace - p25

In God is no evil - 1 John 1:5.

'This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.' - 1 John 1:5

In God is no evil.

There is no evil or impurity in God. Therefore we can trust his promises, as he would not lie. We can know that he has a perfect idea of what is best of us. So we can be deeply encouraged when God say he is working all things for our good.

The complete lack of darkness and evil in God's character also brings even more joy to the thought of a the New creation. We will delight in a perfect new creation designed, ruled and inhabited by a perfect, holy God.

Father you are holy. You bring light into the darkness. In you there is no evil. Comfort our souls with the goodness of your character. Lord lead us to peace knowing we can trust you. Knowing your plans for us are good. Knowing eternity with you will be free of evil. Knowing you Lord are our loving father.
