Peace not Anger - Romans 3:10-12.

“None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
Romans 3:10-12
Peace not Anger.
Our anger can prevent us from being at peace.
Anger often arises because we feel we deserve better.
This verse shows that all of us have turned away from God. This means that we should face the punishment for our sin.
What we really deserve is death.
The life we have now and any blessings we may experience are all because of God's grace. We don't deserve any of the good things we experience because we so often disrespect the one who provides all good things.
As we start to understand more and more that we deserve destruction, we will be less angry when we feel we deserve better than what God has given us, because the truth is, we deserve eternal destruction.
Whatever happens to us today is so much better than what we deserve to happen to us because of our sin.
Lord, let me more fully understand the punishment I deserve. Let me not get angry, frustrated, annoyed or impatient thinking I deserve better, as in reality, I deserve so much worse than the life you have set out for me. It is only by your grace that I am alive.
We praise you that through Christ's death we are forgiven and have so many amazing blessings. But Father, help us not to start feeling like we deserve any blessings. Help us to know that we deserve to face your wrath, and so not get angry because we feel we deserve better than what you have graciously given us, even if it feels hard to bear.
Father God, you are a good God and you have blessed us so much. Let the peace we have in you not be broken by our misguided anger and pride.
Amen
P.S. - Thank you for reading this, I hope it helps you find peace in God.
Love and prayers,
Joshua
