Reflections on peace - p14

God really knows us - Psalm 139:4.

'Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.'

Psalm 139:4

We can have peace, with God caring for us because

God really knows us.

Father, You have loved us more than we will ever understand. You have brought us into Your family and promised to love and cherish us.

Lord, we rejoice that You are not a distant God. You know our thoughts, our feelings, You know the words we want to speak before we have spoken them.

When You promise to care for us, we can be confident that You will lovingly guide us not just because you have the power to do anything but also because You know exactly what is best for each of us individually.

We don't need to worry about not speaking clearly to God, or that He may somehow misunderstand us. He knows us. More than we know ourselves, He knows us and He loves us.

Father, help our hearts to rest in You. Let us be at peace knowing You know all our thoughts, hopes, and fears and You have promised to care for us.
