Verse of the Week


'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.'


Romans 8:28



God is working all things for our good.

Therefore, we can have peace in all things.




Encouragements


Praise the Lord, things are going well. Through God's kindness we seem to be adjusting well to my more full time ministry role.


Tots group seemed to run well again, and we now have 39 signed up to our Evangelistic event, including over 15 people who don't currently go to our Church.


I had an interview in Church about my Ministry Internship and how my relationship with God is going. I felt I managed to convey my excitement for learning about God and sharing his word and it was also lovely to have our church praying for Luci and myself over the next year.



A Little Update


We have been slowly trying to push ourselves to serve God in ways that are often out of our comfort zones. God has been good to us in reminding us that He is in control no matter how stressed we feel.



The Past Week


  • Gathered helpers for our Bright Lights Party evangelistic event.

  • Attended 'TEAM' a bible training course in Cambridge.

  • Luci helped at the 2nd meeting of our evangelistic tots group.

  • Created a worksheet to aid children in understanding our church sermon.

  • Helped with weekly Sunday kids work (Joining the dots kids).

  • Was interviewed in Church about starting my Ministry Internship.



The Next Few Weeks


  • Sunday mornings - Helping with JTD Kids

  • Wednesday mornings - Luci is helping with an evangelistic Tots Group

  • 21st Oct - Our 1 year Wedding anniversary <3

  • 26th Oct - Leading an evangelistic event (Bright Lights Party)

  • 29th Oct - Joshua's birthday :)

  • 4th Nov - We are going to a bible college in London to spend a day studying the book of Judges

  • 6th Nov - Leading a TEAM small group study (On 1 Thessalonians)

  • 7th Nov - Starting to help host a Christianity explored course with our life group

  • 8th-9th Nov - Joining the St Helen's 10am weekend at home

  • 16th Nov - Leading the music at a Mens Conference

  • 21st Nov - Helping with my first primary school RE lesson




Prayer Requests


We would really value prayer that


  • God would continue to cause the truth that He is working all things for our good to bring us peace.

  • God would help us to be quick to listen and seek to understand each other, especially when either of us feel stressed.

  • God would use the Bright Light's Party on Saturday to reveal some of His great glory to the people of Upton.



A Final Word

It is only through God's power and immense grace that we can even start to serve Him. So we really do rejoice in knowing you are praying for us.



May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
