Verse of the Week

'He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'

Revelation 21:4

God will bring His people perfect peace in the New Creation.

A peace never to be tainted by death.

The hope perfect peace brings has been such a help with striving to put our day to day struggles into perspective, and re focus our minds on things that are above.

Encouragements

Praise the Lord, we had 20 non church families at the opening of our evangelistic Tots group, and two mums and their toddlers said they wanted to come along to Grace church!

We have also been especially encouraged by being able to spend more time with church family. And have been feeling more and more grateful that God has enabled us to spend our time learning about Him and helping others know him more.

As well as this, it has been a joy to see how God has given us church leaders who want to help us see the goodness of God's plan for the flourishing of the church.

A Little Update

Through God's strength we are slowly trying to increase our capacity to serve God's people. Here are some of the things we've been up to this last week and some of what we have coming up.

The Past Week

• Started building a team to help with an evangelistic event for the end of October (The Bright Lights Party)

• Attended 'TEAM' a bible training course in Cambridge

• First Evangelistic tots group (Upton Tots)

• Renew Lunch (A meeting with local church leaders in Northamptonshire)

• Helped with weekly Sunday kids work (Joining the dots kids)
  

The Next Few Weeks

• Sunday mornings - Helping with JTD Kids

• Wednesday mornings - Luci is helping with an evangelistic Tots Group

• 23rd October - Leading a TEAM small group study (On 1 Thessalonians)

• 26th October - Leading an evangelistic event (Bright Lights Party)

• 29th October - Joshua's birthday :)

• 7th November - Starting to help host a Christianity explored course with our life group

• 8th-9th November - Joining the St Helen's 10am on their weekend at home

• 16th November - Leading the music at a Mens Conference

• 21st November - Helping with my first primary school RE lesson

Prayer Requests

We would love it if you could prayer that

• God would make the peace we will experience in the new creation a constant comfort to us both as we strive to serve the church.

• God would help us to encourage each other to be more and more motivated to use the time he has given us to better reflect His glory and build His kingdom.

• God would help use our efforts with the Upton Tots and Bright Lights Party to make His name more clearly known to the people of Upton.

A Final Word

We are more and more convinced of the immense value of prayer, so thank you so much for continuing to supporting us in this way.

'We always thank God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven.'

Colossians 1:3-5

We are mere jars of clay, but God has filled each one of us with the most precious gospel imaginable. What a saviour we have in Christ!
