Our sins our forgiven, his glory is displayed.

Verse of the Week
‘The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!’
John 1:29
What beautiful words. This statement of Jesus' identity comes right at the start of John's gospel and flows all the way through it. Christ, God himself, has come as a sacrificial Lamb to bear God's terrible wrath, which we deserve, for our sins are evil, so that we may be made clean. We are united with Christ, God's spotless son, as one of his beloved children.
How wonderful are these words: Christ is the lamb of God, he has taken away the sins of His people, and in Him we can have life in all its fullness, forever.
There is possibly no greater moment in history, no greater display of God’s glory, no clearer demonstration of God's love.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Amen.
Encouragements
God has been very good to us this week in helping us to keep trusting in his plan and goodness. It has been a bit more of a stressful week with having lots on at church and also trying to care for some of my family who are not well. Though it has been hard and challenging, I am very grateful for the way God has helped us rely more on him and find joy in his good plans, rather than our circumstances.
God has also been very good in providing the energy we needed to serve him throughout all the different church events we’ve had on.
One really encouraging morning was our Good Friday hour at the cross. It was such a joy to see how the cross reveals God's glory, enables us to be with God and shows God's love for us.
Another amazing moment was our Saturday Easter trail. The event ran really well and it was a real privilege to be a part of helping hundreds of people hear the good news of the cross.
